## Description

Featuring large apertures and easy functionality, Sky-Watcher’s Heritage 130 Dobsonian takes a classic design and shrinks it for easy table-top use! This kit comes with everything you need to get started viewing the night sky including eyepieces and a red dot finder. Developed in the 1970s, the name ‘Dobsonian’ comes from the telescope’s inventor, John Dobson, a Vedantan monk and sidewalk astronomer who dedicated his life to astronomy outreach. Dobson was notorious for constructing large aperture reflecting telescopes capable of deep sky viewing, using low cost materials. These were often made with found materials, heavy cardboard tubes, recycled porthole glass and plywood mounts. Dobson encouraged other astronomers to assemble their own telescopes and taught workshops on telescope making. Sky-Watcher carries on the legacy Dobson left behind with this Heritage Dobsonian telescope. Don’t let this simple design fool you! A: The Heritage 130 uses the industry-standard 1 1/4-inch eyepiece size, thus all Celestron or other brand 1 1/4-inch eyepieces will fit this telescope. Eyepiece filters for lunar and planetary observing are also a standard thread size and will thread into the base of 1 1/4-inch eyepiece. For safety reasons, it is not recommended at a solar filter be used with an open truss telescope tube because the sun can enter the open tube at an angle, by passing a full aperture solar filter, and the reflected sunbeam can cause heat damage or vision loss. Phone adapters are designed to clamp onto the eyepiece and will work on any telescope using the standard 1 1/4-inch eyepiece size.

Great telescope, easy to assemble and easy to learn to use. Moon looks great, Jupiter and its moons are visible, Saturn and its rings are visible, Uranus and Neptune are seen as small dots of light. Star clusters also look great. Overall great product, although the focuser knob was very tight, but figured to turn it anyways.

Un gran telescopio para iniciarse, aunque el enfocador no es lo mejor, tiene una gran estabilidad. Yo cometí el error de comenzar con el celestron 127 EQ, que es tan terrible que casi abandono este hobbie. Este telescopio lo cambia todo, es fácil encontrar planetas y nebulosas. Se mantiene donde lo dejas. Les anexo algunas fotos, el video de jupiter lo tome con un celular, un ocular de 6mm con un barlow x2. La nebulosa la tome con celular moviendo el tiempo de exposición.
