Review: It works - It worked for getting moss out of a roof vent pipe. Very easy to to use. Squeeze the knob on the handle to release the grabbers then let go of it and pull the tool out. That easy. I had an issue with my plumbing vent being clogged with moss in this 1948 coastal house. The pipe goes into the attic and stops about 4ft down connecting to a horizontal pipe connector in the attic ceiling. This tool cleared it out. Very happy I didn’t have to cut the pipe in the attic to clean it that way. I am not a pro at anything like this. I just try to do it myself first before spending money I don’t have for a pro to do it. I wish I had used this kind of tool first before killing the moss. It might have been easier. Not sure on that. Mine was a muddy mess because I killed the moss prior to cleaning it out, but this tool grabbed it and got it out. I used the 79” one.

I remembered that the people we just bought our house from were complete and utter morons, and I thought to myself, “I bet they dropped something metal in there.” This device was very hard for me to squeeze, so make sure someone with strong hands is using it. It was also a bit difficult to get into our L drain and squeeze at the same time. But you could have one person squeeze and one person position it. But because of the location of our clog and my drain shape I decided to go in the the face plate in the tub. I also thought maybe they had an old drain stopper in there or something. That’s the kind of stupid things they would do. I put the claw down, then squeezed with both hands to open, then let it close at the bottom. It latched on to something and I was like yeeeeees. But then it was stuck. But after panicking for a minute I just pulled super hard and pop, out came a giant disgusting womens razor blade and a butt load of half melted hair. Eureka! Perfectly clear drain. I don’t know if this is the best choice for hair clogs. But if you need to pull out an object some moron let go down the drain, this is awesome.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great product, hard spring, but broken cap

This was (almost) a great purchase. I bought it to clean out some very small drainage weep holes. It worked great and was exactly what I needed. However, the spring to activate the pickup tongs is very tight, and it takes a considerable amount of pressure on the cap (shown) to open up the pickup tongs. I cleaned out 3 weep holes very effectively, but after using this just once, the top of the cap cracked because of the amount of pressure needed to open up the tongs on the other end. Amazon gladly is sending a replacement item, which I am willing to do because this little thing gets the job done! Hopefully this was just a fluke and the next one will be a bit more durable.
