Review: Install is easy. Getting the old one out... - Straightforward install instructions. Simple mechanism that does what it needs to do. Works like a charm 2 months later. A couple of things though... It does take quite a few false starts to get going (especially if your car is parked on an incline like mine was... damn gravity), just keep cranking the engine with a couple sprays of some good ol starter fluid and then boom! Time to cruise. Getting the old pump out takes some serious elbow grease and of it's gonna be a little messy. Get a big hammer, a big flat-head screwdriver and let out all of your pent-up rage on that lock ring. Also, it's in the trunk on the Lesabre... Good ol Buick, gotta love em!
Review: Great Replacement Pump for a 2003 Buick LeSabre - I installed this fuel pump for a 2003 Buick LeSabre and the fit was perfect. The pump comes with almost everything you need in order to install it in your vehicle, including: gaskets, a fuel vapor sensor (black thing on top of pump), a new wiring harness (you'll have to splice it into your old one), and the necessary wire connectors. The only other thing I would recommend you buy in addition is the fuel pump locking ring (less than $10) because my original one was completely rusted shut. It require a lot of bashing with a hammer to get out so save yourself the trouble and get a new one of those. Installation was pretty easy and the hardest part as I mentioned above was removing the old locking ring. The wires for the new wire connect do need to be stripped more than what is already pre-cut so make sure to do that to get a good contact. I'll update if anything changes but so far, a great pump for a great price.
