It's basically granuals you shake on the ground. You're not treating flowers. **Q: Is this the same as mosquito bits to control fungus gnats?** A: No **Q: What are the #s like 680 RTS? What is the difference in the numbers?** A: I have no idea, I don't see that # anywhere on the container. All I know is tht it works, have been using for 2 summers and am happy with the effectiveness. Also it doesn't interest my dog so I feel safe using it **Q: What effect does it have on birds and/or squirrels?** A: The stuff that was put out this year said it was pet and child safe - I bought it at fleet farm and used it for camping. It claims to work for up to 3 weeks, but I have used it for years and it has only worked for up to 4 days for me. Normally lasts about 3 days. It has a very pleasant smell. The granules are small. The container allows for you to shake the product, but I normally use a broadcast spreader.
