I used the same 100mm (soundproofed) ducting that was already fitted with a couple of 125 to 100mm adapters (from desertcart) and it all went together in about 30 minutes, including the wiring (which was just a matter of connecting up 3 existing wires). When switched on (via the shower pump) it certainly sucks out the air, much more so than the previous 100mm unit. It's a bit noisier (like the sound of a tiny jet engine) but not intrusive and cannot be heard outside the bathroom.
