Dwight gets involved in a domestic dispute that takes him to Old Town. A deadly chain of events quickly spirals out of control, and he must do everything he can to keep the peace between Old Town, the cops, and, even worse, the mob. I enjoyed this volume. The storyline was pretty straightforward but engaging. The one thing I will say is that some of the illustrations felt like they were going for shock value. I hope that was the intention, because Miho's weapon design came across as offensive. Given that this was written in the mid-'90s, I can understand how that choice reflected the era, but 30 years later it just feels like a poor decision. Other than that, I enjoyed the story and the femme fatale noir atmosphere. Overall, I am enjoying this series, and I'm interested to see what happens in Volume 4: That Yellow Bastard, especially with the introduction of some new characters.
