I now have one of these controlling the heat mat for my snake on the 'cold' side, and one controlling the ceramic heat lamp on the 'hot' side. I will say if there is any downside at all to these, its that you can audibly hear them switching off and on, so randomly throughout the day you'll hear little clicks as it cuts or gives power to the heat mat/heat lamp. One probe only, so if you needed one for a hot and cold side control you'd be better to get a unit with two probes and controls.
