Installation was a breeze. The picture is great and remote view works like a charm. Even though I do not use Samsung brand cameras or cables, the system works perfectly.As a little side note for those of you doing the install yourselves....buy quality cables. Many of the cables sold on Amazon may advertise as "premimium" or "professional" quality although many times that is not the case. A good quality siemese cable with RG59 coax and 18awg power is my suggestion. With short runs it may not be as important but for good picture quality you need good cables. If you are putting your time and effort to pull cable through attics, basements or crawl spaces, and into walls; do it correctly the first time. ### ⭐⭐⭐ OK if you have newer Samsung Tablet. *by L***T on March 27, 2017* It works OK for now, but the new Wiseview app update in March 2017 rendered my older Samsung tablet useless. Luckily I found an oldet version of Wiseview and downloaded from an identity theft sight that forced me to sign up for a bunch of BS but thats OK. I gave them bad info. Also, for some reason I can't get channel 1 to record motion. All other channels work perfectly and record motion as well. Wiseview is OK but I like my other Samsung system thst uses iPolis software MUCH better. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good Product on Most Counts *by F***N on January 31, 2018* Got this after returning a Zosi product that I could not to get to work. This one is much better, but I am amazed at how confused many customers are about how to make these things connect to the internet and to smart phones. I think these companies assume that we all have knowledge of IP addresses and DNS and everything else related to how the internet works. Looking at numerous blogs online, I find that many people are as frustrated as I am about how this all flows. Isn't there a better way to explain how to do this? (The answer is yes, but you have to track down some You Tube videos online that explain it in layman's terms!). Regardless, this DVR is finally working, we are able to get it on both our smart phones, but I still haven't gotten it to run on my computer - still need to take some hours to track down exactly what is wrong there. Images are good, it works with the six cameras that were here when we moved in, and works with the two new Zosi cameras we just bought. One thing I don't like is that you are very limited in how the screens display - from what I can tell, there are basically six options: one large image, four images, nine images, then two split configurations of six and nine with one large image and several smaller ones, and finally, a scrolling option that goes 5 secs on one image for each camera. It is interesting to me that the DVR is 8 channel, and yet there is not an option to have eight equal-sized images on the screen. We like that it has a remote, although we seem to use the attached mouse more because it is easier to get through the menus. Recording is pretty straightforward, and playback, etc. works well.
