Review: Great for under makeup!!! - I love this sunscreen. This will be my new daily sunscreen to wear under my makeup, or alone ( i prefer to wear makeup most days) . Honestly, i think everyone complaining about this doesn't understand how zinc oxide works diffrently than chemical sunscreens. SO much better for your skin. Yes, it leaves a bit of a white cast(its going to because of the zinc), and no it doesn't dry down into a dry touch, because of the zinc being a heavier mineral that sits on the skin as opposed to absorbing like a chemical sunscreen, its just not gonna happen. Put it on, let it dry down for about 15 miniutes, use primer (if you're wearing foundation or bb cream) and set it all with a powder just like normal. Your foundation will cover the slight white cast. My makeup looks just fine at the end of a 12 hour day. Just set it with powder like you should be doing anyway, and all of that weird waxy sunscreen feeling will go away. If you want to keep your skin looking younger longer, a zinc oxide sunsreen is really the only way to go. Cant beat the price or protection on this one. *UPDATE * I've been playing around with this under makeup for a while now. I've found that on top of the great sun protection, this sunscreen is actually a fantastic primer! I use maybelline matte and poreless foundation and blend with a beauty blender knock off. Works just as good as the maybelline blurring primer I was using previously.

You can rub it in, or if you wander away from the mirror for a few minutes and come back, you may find the warmth of your body has caused it to melt a bit and soak in. It helps to put moisturizer on first, then layer the sunscreen over that. If you're using it on your face (and you happen to be female), this strategy adds a few minutes to your make-up routine, so allow for that in the morning. If I were a man, I'm not sure I'd put this on directly after shaving...test a small amount before slathering it on. Since I've started using this, the brown spots have faded significantly and the plague of actinic keratoses seems to have stopped. I now keep one tube in the bathroom and one in the car, where I can apply to hands and arms if I've forgotten to put it on before flying out the door.

**Q: Can this be worn under makeup without making you look white like a ghost?**
A: It's making you white like any 50 and more spf cream. But I put a little bit on my face and waiting 10 minutes. When it is well absorbed, I put a napkin on my face and walk along it with my hands, remove napkin from my face and then apply make-up. It turns out a very good protection from the sun and the face is not like a ghost.

**Q: Does this rub into your skin (looks invisible)  or does it still look white?**
A: It will fade quickly.as it dries a.lttle. .ten seconds.  Great product.

**Q: Is this water resistant or waterproof?**
A: The FDA no longer permits sunscreen manufacturers to label their products as "waterproof," as they say nothing is truly waterproof. These rules have been in place since 2011. https://www.fda.gov/ForConsumers/ConsumerUpdates/ucm239463.htm

**Q: Does this for uva and uvb? It only says uva**
A: Yes, it blocks both. The tube says both UVA and UVB. It also says broad spectrum, zinc-based sun screens are a physical sunscreen which is usually always UVA and UVB.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ White cast does go away

I was looking for a lower-priced physical sunscreen and I do trust the Neutrogena brand. It does leave a white cast but the white cast goes away. It created a kind of 'blur' effect to my skin. I had zero irritation to my rosacea prone skin. Actually, most sunscreens irritate me in general - they feel sticky or tacky or heavy, but this one I put on and pretty much forgot about, though there is some residue feel to my skin, but that's to be expected with physical sunscreens. I prefer physical sunscreens even though they do sit atop the skin and can have that white cast. But the chemical sunscreens make me just a little nervous with their ingredients. And, with chemical sunscreens, you have to put them on first on your bare skin - that's okay if I'm not doing any of my skincare routine and using only sunscreen, but that's rare.
