Whatever covering they have over the LED lights gives a very nice soft quality to it. It's essentially its own small softbox. It feels solidly made, looks good and it's a sensible size yet still very slim. The removable tripod mount foot gives some extra versatility although I have light stands so I'll screw the light straight onto them. I was a bit surprised at just how much power this puts out. It allowed me to drop the ISO on my camera, for better video quality. As the light is both rechargeable and colour temperature controllable it would make for a great fill or accent light outdoors.
