They can not live in frost areas. Make sure to soak your seeds in water for 24 hours before planting . Fill a cup with water, and allow them to float in the water for 24 hours. Plant in soil but water from the bottom as these seeds do not do well with to much water in the soil . This means you don’t pour the water on top as it can damage the seeds. We expected the majority of seeds to not make it (and we didn't need a forest of jacarandas), so we aren't disappointed at all. The remaining tree is doing amazing after a nice rainy summer in Florida. Pic is six months after planting, and tree is more than four feet tall! Every time I look out the window, it seems to be taller.
