This way they can stay chilled, but thaw out a bit. Also, check your settings on your freezer, you may want to raise the temperature a bit. One other trick is to take it out of the freezer and immediately wrap the pack in a thin towel. Let it sit for a few minutes. The towel will work to insulate the pack and hold in the cold longer, but allow it to thaw. Measure around your leg for the circumference. If it is under 10.5", it will fit around the whole leg. For the length, simply measure from the top of the foot to just below the knee.
