**Q: How can I find out the ratio of bead size and string size? Im buying a gift. I need to be able to look at a chart**
A: Well, usually the hole of the beads are generally 1 mm from beads size 3mm,4mm,6mm and 8mm...after size 8mm you can use String Beads Cord 1.5 mm ..in my personal experience I use 1.5 mm en lava stone beads 8mm ... I hope this reference can help you....

**Q: Is this a monofilament cord or made of multiple strands ?**
A: Monofilament... it's not very strong

**Q: At what temperature does it melt, and is it food safe?**
A: Hi this is a quite interesting question. I used it for jewelry and it works great. I’m not sure what you’re getting at for food and melting point.
I wouldn’t eat it and it’s a plastic texture so I’m sure it will melt.

**Q: I am using 1.5 I think on slider beads w 2 loops. But it's awfully sick t. It seems awful thick to tie a knot. Does anyone use 1.0. 0.8 seems too thin**
A: This size is great for making bracelets and necklace for just about any size bead.  0.8 is way too thin.  You can try 1.0 to see if it will work for your project.  Try to break it before adding beads to make sure it is durable enough for your project.

I purchased this product with high expectations, but I am not so certain that the string is strong. I did the pre-stretching as recommended and the string broke either during the stretch or as I tied/secured the ends after I finished stringing my beads. Due to this I am not sure that I will be using this for my products that I sell.
