Want to make my sons bike more capable than the 28 tooth cassette provides** A: If the 24 inch bike hub is a freehub and uses an 8 gear cassette, it should work. This will not work with a freewheel hub. This cassette also requires the correct Microshift derailleur and shifter. Recommend the derailleur with clutch and a crank gear with 30 - 34 teeth. I have a 26'er with this setup and it works very well. **Q: Does this come with a spacer? Thanks!** A: No spacer provided.
