The metal spike could be stronger, as I would hit come rocks along the way, need to pull out, and start over in a new spot. The metal rod would be bent so I'd have to straighten it before giving it another go. If you're ground isn't so rock I'm sure this will work fine. Maybe go up a size/width if you're ground is hard/rocky. Once the earth anchors were all the way inserted, it seems pretty impossible to get them out. They are in there! Happy with them.
