Review: We love our Mantis Laser Academy! - We really enjoy this system. It is fun and has lots of drills. You can setup target and just play around or use the app and track everything for improving your skills. There are several systems like this, I just chose Mantis because I like it. Packaged well, but I put everything in an Apache 3800 case (H.F. Tools) and it fits nicely. I can keep the stands, targets, camera sun shades and the Mantis case all tucked nicely in the Apache case ( I put the large target in the lid of the Apache case behind the foam and made a strap to keep it al there. I bought a .380, .223 and an additional 9mm laser to go with it. There are places in the Mantis case to store the extra lasers as well. I think it was well worth the price and i will get lots of use from it,
Review: Well Done Dry Fire Trainer - This is a great dry fire training program. As long as you focus on your draw, grip, presentation, sight picture/alignment and trigger pull you will see an improvement in your speed and accuracy. It isn't without its limitations that any buyer needs to know: 1.) The trigger will have to be reset after each shot by racking the slide. After doing this hundreds or thousands of times, you want to make sure you don't train yourself to rack the slide if in a real world shooting. As the saying goes "in a time of great stress you will revert to your level of training." 2.) The targets must be viewable by the phone's camera which is a pretty narrow field. You can't place multiple targets at different points in a room. If the phone can't see the target, it won't register your shots. There is a good range of shooting programs within the app to include two person challenges who can compete with each other simultaneously. To do this, you will need to purchase an additional laser cartridge. To avoid my point #1 above, I purchased a laserlyte blue training gun. The trigger automatically resets and it works with this program. Overall there is a considerable amount of thought put into this program, and it works as designed. Having the ability to see how you are progressing is a definite plus!

**Q: Fits glock 19 gen4?**
A: The 9mm version will fit any 9mm firearm, including the Glock 19. The laser cartridge fits in the chamber like a regular round would. That is the only part that interfaces with the firearm physically. To use the app, you will need to aim phone or tablet camera at the smart targets. Then when you aim at the targets with the laser cartridge installed and press the trigger, the laser cartridge will activate, and the app will record where you hit the target.

**Q: Can this be used in conjunction with dryfiremag so you don’t have to re-cock the slide every time?**
A: No, unfortunately the laser cartridge is activated by the firing pin, and DryFireMag disables the firing pin, so the gun cannot trigger the laser while training with a DryFireMag.

**Q: can you see results on your tv?**
A: Only thru screen mirroring.  I actually mirror to my ipad at 10 yards to see my results.  Mirroring to the tv is easy.  Mirroring to an iPad is tricky.

**Q: Do i need to purchase anything else to use this with an ar-15 pistol chambered in 9mm?**
A: No, you don't need anything else. The 9mm version of the Laser Academy - Standard Training Kit contains everything you need to practice with any firearm chambered in 9mm.

We really enjoy this system. It is fun and has lots of drills. You can setup target and just play around or use the app and track everything for improving your skills.
