I have short-haired and long-haired dogs and the mat traps the hairs handily. Beating the mat and using the hose sprayer helps with dirt and sand but not the hair. So, I reviewed lint rollers and found this product in the 8" size. It works well and I cleaned the mat twice as fast, of course. It is very competitively priced and I will buy again.
