The grip is nice and it works just like it's supposed to, I have naturally thick, wave/curly hair so need a lot of heat to straighten and this does the job! It also works to make a nice curl too if I want to make purposeful curls, which I like. The little one is SO tiny, it's super cute but not the most practical for my thick hair, but it works on the small strands and it's perfect for travel or just to stick in a purse in case you want to have something with you to touch up throughout the day! But it's too small to be practical for straightening my whole head!
