It fit right in the space where the window closes and the actual window closed down on top with no tape to a snug fit. We had a 7” rain with wind a day or two after I installed it and I had no leaks or seepage. I thought it was a little pricey but after the ease of getting it installed and had no leaks I decided it was worth every penny. Review: Works fine - Others have said it yes it is pricey. But I went to the hardware stores and they ether did not have anything that would work or looked at me like I was speaking a strange language.
