In addition since the episodes are in their entirety, and not edited for commercials, the flow of a significant number of them is greatly improved giving more believability to the storyline. When it comes to improved quality, its no doubt that the visual clarity and sound are at their best. 1080 on bluray looks good on a 75 inch all day, while the sound clarity is spot on. In my opinion the improved quality of the special effects and overall picture help to bring a series that originally looked about as realistic as the Batman series from that period up to the quality of a technicolor full length motion from around the same time. Kids growing up right now could appreciate the stories in a show thats 60 years old, and be able to enjoy the picture quality and special effects because theyve been brought up to date. Are the special effects and overall picture quality perfect? No. But they're good enough to improve the overall presentation of this series and bring it into the 21st century. Five Stars.
