You have to take off the mattress and lay the whole sheet down and then lay the mattress back on top **Q: Do the bottom corners separate for bed posts?** A: No we had to make a slit because we wanted the bedskirt on the outside of the bed frame not inside. Once we did that hemmed the edges and it looks great. **Q: This picture appears to be a charcoal grey color. Can anyone verify this?** A: It is a very dark grey. **Q: Does the skirt cover the whole box springs or just a few inches on each side** A: Cover the whole box spring!
