My Tidal 110 broke after a few years of heavy use, and I ordered this one as a temp because I could get it the next day. (I figured I could box this one up as an emergency spare after my replacement Tidal arrived.) The parts are extremely flimsy. The directions indicate it can be difficult to assemble, but for clarity it isn't because it's complicated, it's because it's poorly constructed. The center piece is hard to get in to place, and as you get one piece connected the others fall apart. To top it all off, I noticed a sheen on the bottom, and when I swiped my finger on it and inspected, it appears to be some sort of oil...thankfully I didn't put it in my tank and introduce a contaminant. I ended up tossing this trash in the garbage where it belongs. When I got my better pump a few days later I was hit by the quality comparison of sturdy and fitted parts, and I was able to just attach the inflow, add the filter media, and off to the races...what a difference.
