As seen in the images, there was no need to remove the cooling fins as the screw was easily removed and the long adapter tube worked perfect. Since I was only checking the sync of the carbs, I only needed one vacuum gauge and used the red plugs as I move the gauge from one port to the other, plugging the unused port. These were very handy and affordable which is way more economical as opposed to taking it to some "mechanic" I am a retired professional mechanic but I didn't have a set of these brass ports.
