Is the water/product mixture paste-like or watery?** A: Dissolve it in hot water. Will be watery. Scrub hot solution in with a brush. Then make sure you clean it up with water after don’t leave any residue. **Q: Can you use this on a metal rusted roof?** A: I have used it on metal corrosion on our fleet of sailboats for years and have been very pleased with the results. I have tried other products and found that almost nothing else works. If you plan to repaint after removing the rust/corrosion you will need to make sure your wash the surface several times with fresh water. For stubborn areas, you may need to do a little wet sanding with very fine sandpaper (300 GRIT or higher). If you have any wood in the area that you don't want bleached (e.g. a wood deck or stairs) you should cover it and then hose it down as soon as possible if any of the oxalic drips on it. **Q: Is this a good product to use for removing rust stains on pavers and travertine? What is the mix ratio?** A: I have successfully used about a tablespoon per quart of water for removing paver/concrete rust stains. **Q: Can a mix be used to remove rust from inside a fuel tank? I would think it would be more gentle and less likely to produce pin holes .** A: Yes. It works well. I have used it in a Ural gas tank, which was stored for 13 long years with bad gas. This stuff in hot water removes all rust pitting from inside the tank. I had to use baking soda mixture to neutralize the process. I then used a pint can of the Red Kote to line the tank.
