I made the assumption that maybe it was a sturdier material. However, I bought the LPH 004 and it is very sturdy piece of equipment. I am with a stage band and it holds a laptop To make sound adjustments. It is put up and taken down constantly, still shows very little wear, sets up easily, adjusts, works outstanding. Since I couldn’t find a difference between the two, I bought the 004 because it was on sale at the time. Well worth the money!! **Q: I have only had this item for just over a year and all the bolts are stripped can I get replacement bolts or is there and option to replace the unit?** A: Better to go to your nearest hardware store and replace all bolts with a higher quality stainless steel. If you replace with original it will strip again. **Q: What does it mean by units or 1 unit?** A: I looked through the description and do not quite understand your question. The stand comes fully assembled and simply folds out to whatever dimensions you need. It comes, naturally, in one box and fits only one laptop. Highly recommend this to anyone what's the use the laptop in multiple locations. ### ⭐ JUNK BECAUSE OF A $2.00 PART *by G***R on May 18, 2018* Quik Lok LPH-004 Fully Adjustable Tripod-Base Universal Laptop Holder I've used Quik-Loc laptop stands for several years and the only problem I've had has been related to the riser and tripod adjustment/locking cap screw threads stripping. The screw is made from cheap and brittle pot metal and the locking nut appears to be much harder forged steel resulting in the failure of the screw threads. The first stand's adjustment/locking screw threads failed after about 1.5 years with each new stand's failed in a progressively shorter period of time; with the most recent stand, Model LPH-004, purchased during January, 2018 failed today, May 18, 2018. After the first stand failed I began lubing the screws with Mobil 28 grease hoping to prolong the life of the threads without success. I was always careful not to over-tighten and only applied enough force to lock the riser or tripod. Unfortunately, I have not been able to obtain repair parts so the entire stand is trash when the threads fail. Otherwise, outside of the crappy adjustment/locking screws, it's a decent product, but it becomes useless trash because of the faulty design and application of the adjustment/locking screws & nuts. This is a failure of pretty basic application & design principles so it smells of planned obsolescence.
