It has been in operation for a couple weeks on my greenhouse -- one of them is coupled with an exhaust fan and the other is on the other end of the greenhouse as an intake. A controller actuates them when the temperature goes above 80F.The shutters are all aluminum with a nice welded alum frame. The shutter mechanism works well and smoothly, and the shutters close and seal well. There is an about 1/8 inch gap between the shutters and the frame when the shutters are closed. If I had been able to rate the shutters separately, I probably would have given them 5 stars.The actuator that closes he shutters when power is applied to appears to be a not to well thought out add-on, but it does work (with some tinkering). There is an arm on the actuator that attaches to the shutter bar with a lightweight metal chain and S hooks. When power is applied to the actuator, the arm rotates and pulls the chain which opens the shutters. When power is removed, a return spring that is connected between the shutter frame and the shutter bar closes the shutter. The actuator is powered on all the time when the shutters are open with the actuator motor stalled out. It draws about 6 watts all the time in this situation, so if my two vents are open an average of (say) 6 hours a day the electricity consumption for the year is about 26 KWH an 40 lbs of CO2 emissions a year -- not huge, but it would be nice if the actuator powered the shutters to the open or closed position and then shut off and locked.When I attached the return spring per the instructions, it would not completely shut the shutters -- I moved it to provide more tension and they now close completely. The attachment of the actuator arm to the chain of the chain to the shutter bar are by S hooks that don't have a very well designed connection point to the shutter bar, and I ended up changing this as well. In all it seems like not a lot of work went into the actuator integration with the shutters, but at this point it does operate reliably. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Motor does not stop automatically. *by E***O on Reviewed in the United States on August 26, 2021* Today was corrective maintenance on the old louver system. Louver worked great, but the motor does not stop automatically. While testing installation, the motor popped out the chain rivet, because it did not stop. Waiting on VES to call me back about a replacement.
