Review: SOFT plastic (vinyl) that has a smell - Absolutely love these, but buyers should know: These are soft, not hard plastic. This means they’re more likely to end up with bent legs and not be able to stand on their own. (But it also means they’re gentler, which is nice.) The smell is really strong. I’m currently trying to build up a diverse collection of dino minis for teaching and all my others are hard plastic and had no smell. These softer ones made my entire container of dinosaurs stink so much when opened that my students commented on it. (And there was no smell before, with just my hard plastic minis.) So, it’s great that they are apparently non-toxic, but I would definitely never put them on cupcakes, personally. My hunch is that they would even flavor the frosting. (Their pliability would make them great for plastic Easter eggs, though.) I still think they’re awesome, and $10 for 82 is a very fair price.

Fabulous set. Colorful and great variety of dinosaur shapes. I used them as a small thank you for everyone who participated in an employee art show. They really enjoyed them.
