Bras are lasting much longer and stay new looking. They still get clean in the washer but this bag makes for gentler washer action on the fabric and straps. I was annoyed that it was hard to tell which zipper to open when I only washed one bra. But I solved that issue. I took a laundry marker and put a '1" on one side. Then put a "2" on the opposite side. If there is only 1 bra to wash, I know it's in No. 1 pocket. And because the container really protects the bra, I usually throw the whole thing in the dryer on "low" for a few minutes. Anyway, this thing is great--zippers still work fine-no wear or tear in the fabric; does a fine job! I use them in the wash almost on a daily basis and never had a zipper issue, as I read in other reviews.
