Product Description Sinocare innovative uric acid test strips, easy to achieve self-test at home The Safe AQ UG uric acid test strips, used with Safe AQ UG Blood Glucose and Uric Acid Meter, is intended to for use by people needed in the home and by healthcare professionals in clinical setting as an aid in monitoring teh effectiveness of uric acid control. The Safe AQ UG uric acid test strip should not be used for diagnosis or screening. The Safe AQ UG uric acid test strips are designed with ascorbate enzyme layer to effectively ensure the accuracy and stability of the test. The value in 25 seconds and 3μl of blood sample makes self-testing of uric acid at home faster and more convenient, which is a great boon for people with gout. Using passcode to adjust code is convenient and not easy to make mistakes, and the older people can also realize independent operation easily. Fast coding Insert the passcode card and ready for tests, won't need to manually scan the code. The passcode card is in the uric acid test strip box. Sucking blood easier Blood sample can be added by lightly touching, only 3μl blood sample is needed. When opening a new box of test strips, please take out the corresponding passcode card from the test strip box and insert it into the instrument. After inserting the passcode card, pay attention to check whether the number displayed on the screen is consistent with the passcode number on the test strip box. Affected moderately by the environment humidity, the measured value will fluctuate by 20% , which is normal. Pls try to store the test strips in an environment with a humidity <80% to improve accuracy. Please don't store this blood glucose kit where it's too hot or too cold. Better to complete the test within 3 minutes after the strip is taken out, or it may be invalid. When opening the bottle for the first time, write down the opening date on the label of the bottle (the validity period after opening is 3 months), and the test strip must be used within the validity period. I am a veteran lab/chemist 20+ years, now modeller, worked with many lab instruments (just to show some merit in this review), and this kit is quite typical for lab use. Without having an actual calibration sample to test with, the next best thing I did was compare with NHS lab results, and they were within acceptable range (I measured 368umol UA, the lab was 360umol). If you read the description, results may differ by 20%, which is very typical for lab equipment, especially equipment which use test strips. Ensure you get enough blood from pricking your finger, and the test strip does a great job of taking a sample of your blood. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to monitor UA, and the glucose is useful as well, but maybe a continuous glucose monitor might be better. Set your expectations as per note above and you won't be disappointed. I've learned a lot about my body using this kit.
