Easy to install with no plumbing changes, it maintains healthy minerals in your water, reduces energy consumption, and extends appliance life—perfect for eco-conscious homeowners battling hard water. ## Description The ED2000 functions by wrapping two antenna cables around the main water pipe to form a coil, creating a complex, frequency modulated, electronic magnetic waveform. This induces an oscillating electric field into the water, resulting in the agitation of water molecules sufficient enough to trigger the release of carbon dioxide and cause the premature precipitation of calcium bicarbonate. This process naturally results in a small increase in solubility, which allows the now unsaturated water to dissolve existing scale deposits and remove them from the water system. The treated water will also allow soap to lather up more effectively, leaving skin feeling smoother and hair more manageable. For water over 25 grains of hardness, it's recommended to use traditional water soften in addition to the ED2000. Water with high iron content (over 0. 3ppm) should use an iron removal filter prior to the ED2000. Homes with water mains over 1" but less than 1. 5" may need to use two ED2000 side by side, and water traveling more than 50 feet may require an additional ED2000 farther down the plumbing line. Unfortunately the ED2000 will not have the same effect on your laundry that a true water softener will have. Hard water can cause problems when washing clothes since the dissolved calcium and magnesium that causes hardness will prevent the soap from mixing with water effectively. This causes leftover soap residue and scum that can prevent clothes from coming clean. Unlike a traditional water softener, The ED2000 allows the calcium and magnesium to remain in the water so soap in your laundry can still be affected by the dissolved solids and prevent it from mixing completely. **Q: Can you use it cpvc** A: Hi, Yes the ED2000 descaler/water conditioner can be used with PVC, PEX, or metal pipes. Thank you, Nick iSpring Water Systems **Q: Will it stop mineral buildup in the toilet?** A: Hi Billy, Yes, the iSpring ED2000 descales your entire water system and prevents scale buildup in pipes and appliances. We hope this helps. iSpring Water Systems 678-261-7611 support@ispringfilter.com **Q: How does this descaler create a pulesating magnetic field without a completed circuit on each coil? There would be no current flow.** A: The coils create an electromagnetic field between them when a high frequency signal is applied to the wires. There is no need for a complete wired circuit. You can think of them like radio transmitters, which transfer electrical energy through the air. There are many types of electrical circuits where current can flow without a direct hard-wired connection. Only DC circuits require a solid connection, and this device produces AC not DC. ## Frequently Bought Together - iSpring ED2000 Whole House Water Descaler, Alternative Electronic Salt-Free Hard Water Conditioner, Reduces Limescale Prevent Deposits Build-up, Different from a Water Softener - iSpring WSP-50 Reusable Whole House Spin Down Sediment Water Filter, 50 Micron Flushable Prefilter Filtration, 1" MNPT + 3/4" FNPT, Lead-Free Brass - iSpring Whole House Water Filter System, Reduces PFOA/PFOS, PFAS, Lead, Chlorine, Chloramine, Sediment, 3-Stage Whole House Water Filtration System, Model: WGB32B-KS --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/342214406-ispring-ed2000-whole-house-electronic-descaler-water-conditioner](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/342214406-ispring-ed2000-whole-house-electronic-descaler-water-conditioner) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
