Heat the application area on the car with heat gun. Apply to car with pressure. That's it. I live in SWFL and its August. Its already hot as hell, so the maximum bond strength is achieved easily. If you live where it is cold, you may need to take extra measures to get that maximum bond strength. Time will tell, but this spoiler looks fantastic. While I do not feel like it will last the lifetime of the car, I do feel like I will get a solid 3-4 years out of it. Eventually, the doubles-sided tape breaks down, and spoiler will begin to separate. If the spoiler is in otherwise good condition, this can be fixed with a bit of goo gone and more double sided tape. It happens to the OEM one's too. I got a C300 in my driveway right now with a factory spoiler that is separating because the tape broke down after a few years. It is what it is. You will have to remove factory lip, remove glue left on paint and then install the new one. **Q: is this item a paintable item?** A: It’s already professionally painted in Gloss Black.
