It only cost $5 to have another put on it but still, the tip never should have come off so soon. I asked Penn if they woul do anything about the rod. They told me I needed to send them pictures to determine if it was a defect or my fault. Then, only if they approve, I would have to box it up and ship it back to them. Both rod and reel. I was sold a JUNK Penn pursuit V rod !!! Can't fight a big corporation like Penn. Guess I have to keep buying tips until I get a sturdy and quality rod from someone else. I have several of the pursuit iv combos and they have all been very good to me with no issues. I took advantage of the Penn Christmas sale and ordered some for gifts. The problem was in the shipping. Each combo was was shipped unboxed. All of the 4 rods suffered bent eyes and one reel had the bail bent.
