What amount of magnification will be required to see them?** A: I have ordered them 3 to 4 times now I think. In all but one of them they worked out very well. I believe the 10 times magnification works the best. If you go up to much they are hard to locate on the slide. The 4 time magnification you may be able to see them, but on the 10 times scale you can see their appendages. If you get a very good sample and have patience, you can magnify even more to be able to see them in even more detail. But most of my students would lose track of them. My best experience one of my students started screaming, "Oh my god I SEE THEM, they are moving, Oh My God Oh My God!!!!" **Q: Hi I am interested in purchasing and I was wanting to know how it'll come packaged?** A: It's been a while, so not sure --- I think it was a smallish clear plastic jar / vial with a screw top; all the tardigrades in the one vial, not crowded. Instructions were provided for removing a few at a time with a wire loop. In any case it was very satisfactory. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hundreds of Water Bears! *by J***N on December 15, 2023* I do not write many Amazon reviews, but I was so pleased with this live culture of moss piglets, that I wanted to tell others about it. The small jar contained hundreds, if not thousands, of tardigrades, alive and kicking around. They were easy to see under a good, high-school grade light microscope, plus they came with some good information in printed form. I think this live culture is well worth the price. Tardigrades can be hard to find on your own, but--once you see these--you'll know exactly what to look for. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Class pet: the Tardigrade *by L***L on February 8, 2025* After trying for 6 months, and failing, to find water bears in the wild, we ordered this live specimen. I honestly regret not purchasing them sooner. While hunting for tardigrades in the wild is fun, these specimen are delightful. So many tardigrades in just a couple drops of water. Easy to care for.
