**Q: The weight I need to replace is 283 grams.  Will the 275 gram weight work?**
A: This weight is only needed to overcome the internal friction of the working parts and allow the pendulum to continue to swing, so this should work since it is very close to what you need. You will more likely have issues with internal mechanism being clean, and not jamming, since all of these clocks are now 2-3 decades old (or more)

A: This is the correct weight for an 8 day clock. At least it worked for mine.
