## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can this item be used to purée food ( full meals) for older people and babies?**
A: I would say yes, but only small quantities. I use it to chop things like garlic, chillis and ginger together for a curry, but also use it to make banana pancake mixture. For this is use 1 banana and two eggs, and wouldn’t really use more than that at a time because the container could be quite full. As you can see from the video, the glass container has a hole in the middle that the chopper sits over, so if you are chopping down to a liquid then the quantity needs to be below that or it will spill out. 
For a quick and convenient way to purée small quantities I would say yes this could be a good choice, eg for a single meal for a baby, but for a full adult meal you might need to do a bit at a time. The appliance is nice and compact, but with that comes a quantity limit.

This is one of those kitchen gadgets that now I have it, I wonder how I ever lived without it! It’s compact size and easy to clean glass bowl, steel blade and plastic lid means this gets used several times a week. Unlike other mini choppers, this doesn’t have any bottoms. It is operated by putting the lid on and pressing down lightly. I have found that for most things I get best results by pulsing rather than holding, at least to get going. The chopper is great for finely dicing things like garlic, chilli and ginger for a curry, which would otherwise be fiddly and time consuming. It’s also great for puréeing - I use it to make banana pancake batter from a banana and a couple of eggs. I don’t think this will replace a food processor completely, but certainly cut down on how often you use it. The only downside really is the volume - it’s great for small quantities, eg a couple of onions, pancake mix for 1-2 people etc, but not for anything larger (unless you work in batches). But it’s so easy and versatile that I’m happy! Compared to other big brand mini choppers this is a competitive price, from a well known American brand. I think the glass bowl is a great feature and happily recommend this.
