An astounding value and effective snow bib overall
I've tried a variety of cold weather gear over the years, including some provided by Uncle Samuel. This had the greatest surprise going for it. There are many snow pants and bibs out there, some costing upwards of $200. This bib meets all of my goals at an incredibly low price. The insulation is quite effective, even in winds during below freezing days. I used it shoveling snow and afterward discovered I had some sweat on my legs but the inner surface of the bib legs was dry, so a big check mark on the wicking box. I mentioned the wind - my legs felt none of it. Check for the wind block feature. Fit and finish are fine with no loose threads. I was not snow boarding or skiing, so I did not test the ruggedness of construction beyond the stresses of snow shoveling / blowing. I used the overall with a good quality parka and had no cold air seepage. Straps were fine and there was no impairment of the work I was doing. My footwear was ankle high insulated LLB zip booties - the cold was defeating them as I finished work but the overall was still doing its job. The gaiters, though not quite reaching the ankle-highs' tops, nonetheless prevented cold air from coming up the legs. What went wrong? Me - I did not open the bib up (there is a convenient front zipper) while working and I suspect that ventilation would have been a good idea, given the strenuous nature of the work.

Warm, well made and surprisingly well priced
I got these for my teen son to wear on a snowboarding trip. He is 6'1" and weighs about 150. He wears a 31x34 pant. I figured with pants underneath, I'd get him a Medium but after reading all the reviews, I decided to order up and got a Large. I'm glad I did because the Large is comfortable with heavy jeans and long underwear on underneath and it's loose enough for comfort at the hips and the legs are long enough. These are insulated and fully lined. The outer fabric is wind and water resistant (not waterPROOF.) There is a separate, inner leg with elastic (boot gaiters) at the bottom that you tuck into your boots to prevent snow and cold air from getting into your pants legs. There is an elastic gusset at either side of the waist for a snug fit to keep body heat in. The adjustable shoulder straps are fabric covered elastic and you adjust the pants length via the straps. The waist and hip area is cut slimmer and the legs are a looser fit so they don't restrict you during active sports. It opens in front via a long zipper. There are 2 zippered side pockets that are adequate size. There is a gusseted boot zipper at the bottom of each leg and additional reinforcement on the hem and the inner ankle of each leg. All of the zippers have big zipper pulls with fabric pulls attached for ease of use even when wearing thick gloves. There is a large grommet at the waist for attaching your keys or your gloves. These are lightweight and not bulky but they do keep him toasty warm. I definitely wasn't expecting them to be this nice or well made considering the price so I'm very pleased.UPDATE: My son wore these on a snowboarding trip to CO recently and they performed beautifully. He stayed warm and dry even in temps of -6F. He's rough on clothing and I examined these carefully after he got back and no damage at all. All of the seams are intact and the elastic on the gaitor held up and the straps held. Very good quality, IMO.I also purchased a pair for his friend who went on the trip and he was just as happy with his.

Decent set of bibs at a good price
Received this item as a gift for an upcoming snow-skiing trip. I am 5'11'', 33'' waist, 32'' inseam.First how they fit. As other reviewers have said, this can run a bit small. You may want to buy a size up for it to fit properly especially if you plan to layer under it. The size chart indicates I should wear a medium, but a medium would have been too small for me. I received a large and the inseam is just right, and the waist size is comfortable. As with all bibs, the length can be adjusted with the shoulder straps. If you run my size, buy a large and it should fit well. The tech specs tag indicates the following: Wind Resistant, Water Resistant, Breathable. I haven't yet had the opportunity to test it out, but I should know more after my skiing trip.Features include: Scuff/hem guards, boot zippers, boot gaiters, a d-ring to clip things to, a front zipper that zips up to the chest, adjustable shoulder straps, and some hand pockets with comfortable lining, though when I'd have access to these pockets with a ski/winter jacket on I don't know. It's not a high end set of bibs, but it's not low quality either. For the cost of around $30, it's a good deal.Just returned from a ski trip to Winter Park using these bibs. I stayed warm without overheating wearing these bibs and a set of long-underwear underneath them.

So very Warm!! and very well made!!!
I bought my husband a pair of these after he got me a pair for Christmas and I could not stop raving about them!!Now he is raving about his, these are the warmest ski bibs ever!!! We are not skiers but we work in them and most important take are dogs out in very cold conditions, single digits and - .We have both have spent over 4 hours out in them snow blowing, wood chopping ect in all different temps and I can tell you these do the trick, and on top of that they are stylish and so well made.Love the reinforced trim around the bottom and in the inner legs, zippers on outside of the legs and gaiters that actually work!!!!We both highly recommend them!!! my husband is 5' 11", 180 pounds, I am 5' 5" 145, his is a mens large, mine women's large, they fit perfect and we have room to layer, but I can tell you we BOTH only have our PJ'S under on many of the puppy walks!!!
