I use this to cover my vents so the ferrets don't get too curious. A cordless drill will shred the material. To fasten to drywall or wood, use nails or staples. On carpet, Gorilla-brand duct tape will hold in place. Edit 6 months later: just want to add that the material is durable and has held up with nails to anchor into moulding and staples for dry wall. I successfully used rivets to attach to sheet metal radiator. I don't understand the low rating.
