**Q: Where is this made?**

**Q: What are the ergonomics of a push/pull vs a pull only...which is easier to use, and less stress on the bones? Both saw, stroke for stroke cut equally?**
A: Pulling allows the blade to be thinner, pulling keeps the blade from bending, Japanese blades teeth are multi facet, not just offset, such that the thinner blade passes through the cut. Also because of the teeth, the way they have sharpen the cutting tips, they are next to impossible to sharpen, hence blade replacement. Saws like these are capable of very clean, tight cuts.

**Q: Does this cut on the pull stroke?**
A: The staggered teeth of the blade allow it to cut on both the push and pull strokes.

**Q: How heavy is it? Im looking to buy a blade to bring camping**
A: I think I'd take the smaller one and not the 11" one for backpacking. I used to do a lot of backpacking and canoe camping in northern Minnesota, and I took a much smaller and lighter one with a brown plastic handle along (sorry, I can't name brand names or Amazon gets upset). Honestly for camping a 6" blade will probably be just fine and then some. It's not like you're cutting down trees out there.

If you're planning on car camping or RVing then this 11" one might be a good option, although maybe too large to comfortably handle. Folded up it's as long as my forearm is from elbow to wrist, and unfolded it's nearly two feet long, or as long as my arm is from shoulder to wrist. Do you really need a saw that size? That's up to you.

The quality is pretty solid though. It's much sturdier than the small brown plastic handled ones I used to use.  I just wish it would lock closed as well as lock open.
