Cleans fabulous

Great idea but so cheaply made it broke on the second use.

I had bought a bristle-free brush to clean my grill, but it was made of wound wires that snapped anyway and I was still afraid they’d end up stuck to my grill. So I went looking for another safe alternative to a bristle brush and this intrigued me. I bought it, used it for the first time a few days after I got it, and was quite impressed with how much crap it got off my grill. It cleaned my grill quickly and pretty easily (I wet the grill cleaner down as I used it), and I liked being able to turn it to get in between the grate. The kicker was being able to throw it in the dishwasher when I was done - SO easy!! I haven’t had it for long, so I can’t speak on durability over time, but so far I’m impressed!

The chain mail cleans good but the rings need to be welded. I used my 3 times and on the 3rd I noticed the ring falling off into my grill. A good design but there is room for improvement!

This is BY FAR the best grill brush I have ever used! I previously had either a wire bristle brush or safer alternative. While the wire bristle brush was good at cleaning the built up grime from previous meals, the shedding bristles are a choking/impalement concern. The safer alternative just did not get the grill even remotely clean, and left the recycled plastic residue everywhere across the grill surface. Enter the DRAGON! The BBQ Dragon Bristle Free Chainmail Grill Brush cleans my grill even better than the wire bristle brush ever did. The chain mail over the solid silicone core allows you to really put some elbow grease force behind the scrubbing action and wipe yesterday's rib residue right off the grill! It is the perfect grilling companion.

Didn’t last very long till the links broke

Overall i like this grill brush. My only complaint is the shaft is made of a weak metal and bends when i use it. I usually start with one side and when it bends to a certain point i just flip it over and continue. I do wish i could apply a tad more pressure but it just will not hold up to much force and bends to quickly.

With all the hype of the bristles of wire brushes getting into BBQ'ed food, this seemed like an ideal replacement. Initially, I liked it. It was easy to use and clean, but it soon started to show its weaknesses. First, a few of the chainmail links worked themselves loose. Not sure which I'd rather swallow...a small bristle or a large chainmail link. We kept using it, but it finally completely separated at the far end of the scraper and the chainmail 'pocket' just slid up the handle and we're left with an odd looking spatula.
