## Description

Just like in nature, frigid air meets the surface of warmer water and eventually, an ice crystal forms. Then another and another, freezing from the top down, pushing air bubbles and impurities away. ice ology ice cube system works the same way removing the air and allowing dissolved solids to settle, eliminating any cloudiness in the pure, crystal clear ice. Each ice ology tray features a lower and upper silicone mold. To use, fill the lower tray with tap water, and lower the upper silicone mold into place. During the freezing process (12 hours/overnight), bubbles and impurities filter to the bottom of the tray, leaving crystal clear ice in the ice molds! The result is an oversized cube that keeps your drink colder for longer without diluting. It's never been easier to make bar quality clear ice at home, thanks to ice ology!

Review: Clear ice! I have played with it. I have tried distilled water and boiled. Tap water works very good and is the easiest. I am using our camper's freezer to make the ice. (No room in the house) The water runs through a charcoal filter coming in. First pic is filling up and freezing. Second pic is letting the form sit for a couple of hours and then freezing. Third pic is the form sitting. (I think, to get the air bubbles out.....) I have had good luck with letting it sit. I have found I have to use a bottle brush on the tray about every three freezes. I get a build up on the bottom, of impurities. Easy to use with good results.

**Q: Can you use this for other drinks beside liquor and it works the same?**
A: The only thing this works with is water. The ice cubes work the same as any others and may be used for any drink. Just makes crystal clear ice cubes (and works quite well)

**Q: What are the dimensions of the cubes from the 8-cube tray?**
A: I don’t know why there are three different dimensions listed, but a careful measurement of 3 separate cubes on several sides and they all are 1.25 inch near-perfect cubes.

**Q: what are the dimensions of the cubes really?  1.375 inches per side, or larger?  There seems to be some contradictory information here...**
A: Yes, the 1.375 inches per side of the cube is accurate.  It's possible to overfill the silicone molds, but there is a wide ledge inside the mold indicating the max where it should be filled for perfectly clear cubes.

**Q: What are the dimensions of the ice cubes this makes? (8 cube tray) I see many conflicting numbers here…**
A: The ice•ology clear ice tray by Dexas produces 8 cubes that are approx. 1.4" cubes. One dimension can become slightly more if the silicone molds are over-filled. Just make sure the water level is even with the top "ledge" of the silicone molds for consistency.

These are not a cheap product but wanted to try as I bought a ice cube maker but they are small and melt very . Ok for cocktails. I bought this to try unfortunately ice cubes still not clear .
