Poor materials/construction, AND it DOESN'T accomplish the goal!

While it's fairly decent in its reproduction, it hasn't worked as advertised and my bird problem persists (ATTACKING tinted windows!). It's quite cheaply made and will require modification to last any reasonable amount of time. Particularly in the wind, which I presume is the intent, in order make it appear to have movement. As you can see from previously posted pictures, the string used to hang the "Hawk" is VERY cheap and will deteriorate quickly in most any climate, particularly here in Texas. I always intended to modify with wire or a fine chain via the local hardware store. However, the bigger concern is the connection of the wing to the body. The front part of the wing has a hole in it, in which a small plastic piece from the wing inserts. The rear of the wing has a lip, that snaps into place on the molded body. HA! IT barely snaps in with any reasonable security. I'm certain a few heavy winds are going to simply tear it apart and the wing may FLY away! Therefore, my hope is I can use a few screws to make sure it's firmly in place. Made in China, it seems the extras to make it of any decent quality were left out to keep the price down which really is OVER priced.UPDATE: I subsequently purchased 3 of the following: Scarecrow Fake Owl Decoy - Pest Repellent Garden Protector – (small). At about half the cost, where the "Flying Hawk" did zero to repel my pesky bird, EVERYWHERE I placed this almost "Cute" facsimile of an OWL, the bird did NOT return. Save your cash, go that route!

Made us the laughing stock of the squirrel community!

*by M***K on Reviewed in the United States on October 6, 2016*

Cute, but instead of scaring the squirrels from our pecan tree, it seemed to bring on more! It was like they were laughing at us and brought all their little furry friends to laugh with them. :( Oh well, no pecans for us again this year.

    It's ok...

The bird is a nice size and it comes with the rope and loop to hang it already attached, but the paint was chipping off as soon as I opened it. I hung it in my storage shed to keep rodents away. I also played birds of prey sounds every couple days. The visual of the bird didn't keep the rodents from walking through, the sound did. Rodents aren't stupid, they can tell the bird isn't flying if it stays stationary, so I tried to rig it to a disco ball motor and hoop so it would appear to be circling. I couldn't get the weight ratio correct, and I didn't feel like messing with it so I gave up on the "circling" idea. I just moved the bird around the room every few days. When I played the sounds, I didn't find any droppings. When I didn't play them for a while, the droppings came back. The hawk didn't work for me and the paint is chipping off. It wasn't outside, so there wasn't any damage or exposure. The paint just wasn't made for plastic.
