And the grip of clamp face is excellent and the tension bar is heavier than some (in a good way) I did a custom build using this vice by welding and attaching to a steel plate via heavy bolts then welded to heavy steel pipe which is seated into a small (I think it's only 1 gal) propane tank after carefully relieving pressure and nozzle from tank the steel pipe slid right in and I welded and reinforced while cutting a hole in top of tank to be able to add water/sand or someday pour some molten lead down in it but if I do that I'll have to add some heavy duty wheels to it but as of now it's an amazing and supppppperrrr useful portable bench vise I can move where ever I'm working on the garage at the moment.
