I bought it in Feb 2020 and by Sep 2021 the display was faulty.**I'm not sure if the typical lifespan is less than 2 years but that is certainly something to consider when purchasing. **Areas where it could use improvement:Size of display. Sometimes the display was a challenge to read with a large diameter bowl on top.Battery life. I used it maybe once every 2 weeks for about 45 minutes at a time and the batteries were needing a change every 2 months.Longevity. I was so very careful when wiping the stage clean. I never immersed this scale in water or subjected it to excessive weight or dropping.
