Always attach Flight Extension wrist strap securely to your wrist and hold adjoining section of leash in your hand for extra security. The Flight Extension clasp is small but strong. Because a bird will be carrying the leash when he fly's it is necessary to make every part as light as possible. Take care to carefully attach the clasp to the harness wrist strap without damaging the wrist strap material. A flying bird is carrying the weight of the harness and 1/2 the weight of the leash. It can take some experience for a bird to develop the muscles and cardiovascular system to fly without becoming exhausted. The Aviator Harness is escape proof however it is not damage proof. The harness material is very strong but with enough time a bird can damage the harness so it is necessary to check the harness each time it is used to make sure it is not being slowly damaged by your bird. I really like the harness and longer lead for flying my B&G. She is a 32 yr old adopted bird that may have never been flying before. You HAVE to do the proper prep training using the DVD or your bird may not let you use the harness. It is strong material and my B&G has not destroyed it, although she will pick at it. Teaching your bird to fly is rewarding and my bird seems to really enjoy being out.

### ⭐ Check sizes! Small is absolutely not small!

Be super careful about what size you order. The small is absolutely not small. Turns out there is a small, x sm, petite, which I did not realize when I ordered it. I actually got it straight from Aviator or whatever company sells them because I wanted to support a small business and not Amazon. That was a Huge mistake because they would give me an exchange. I didn't even want a refund...i just wanted an exchange. They were super rude about it (basically told me to "get stuffed"). I wouldn't mind so much since, yes, it was my mistake, but these harnesses are super expensive. Again, I was trying to support a small company. Annoying. 1 star since I had to throw it in the trash since the small doesn't come even close to fitting my conure. And 0 stars for the woman that handles exchanges.
