Gilbert match balls are designed and developed to provide outstanding performance in all conditions. The Gilbert Barbarian Match Rugby Ball features a standard grip with a patented Truflight valve. Manufactured with 3 ply core spun polyester and cotton laminate, a functional rubber surface and hand stitched. Supplied deflated Review: Excellent Ball - Great ball, really good grip. The customer service is also excellent as Royal Mail had a delivery issue that was quickly resolved. Review: Defective Product - I was very excited to receive my ball quickly; however, I was equally as disappointed to find out that my ball was incapable of holding the air inside. Air leaks from both the valve and the ends of the ball as a price tag was tagged into the material. DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE EXPECTING A HIGH QUALITY BALL. ## Features - The Barbarian Game Ball features a Truflight Valve, a unique valve shape and placement that redistributes weight along the seams of the ball to improve rotational stability, resulting in greater accuracy on passes, and more control in the kicking game. - The standard Gilbert grip with round pimples evenly distributed at a uniform height make the Barbarian a comfortable and predictable game ball. - The 3 ply poly-cotton and cotton laminate panel means that the ball will weigh slightly more which will perform better on longer kicks and passes, and generally hold its shape better than a rugby ball of 2 ply construction. - Quality construction and hand-stitched to ensure quality and care. The Gilbert standards rugby players count on. - To ensure the game ball remains inflated in all weather conditions, Gilbert uses a Copolymer 'air-loc' bladder ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B088HB8CV7 | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Ball Type | Rugby ball | | Best Sellers Rank | #516,508 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #61 in Rugby Balls | | Brand | Gilbert | | Brand Name | Gilbert | | Color | Green, Navy, White, Black | | Construction Type | hand-stitched 3-ply core spun polyester and cotton laminate construction | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 27 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05024686328352 | | Item Diameter | 28 centimeters | | Item Weight | 330 g | | Manufacturer | GILBERT | | Manufacturer Part Number | 41024205 | | Material | Polyester | | Material Type | Polyester | | Model Number | 48428205 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Size | Size 5 | | Sport | Rugby | | Sport Type | Rugby | | Stitching Type | hand-stitched | | Team Name | Barbarians | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Images ![Gilbert Barbarian 2.0 Rugby Match Ball - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/812WsmRkWgL.jpg) ![Gilbert Barbarian 2.0 Rugby Match Ball - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/8162n2T+FhL.jpg) ![Gilbert Barbarian 2.0 Rugby Match Ball - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81w2Cail+dL.jpg) ![Gilbert Barbarian 2.0 Rugby Match Ball - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81-WivKi5fL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Ball *by J***T on January 19, 2021* Great ball, really good grip. The customer service is also excellent as Royal Mail had a delivery issue that was quickly resolved. ### ⭐ Defective Product *by G***E on March 27, 2023* I was very excited to receive my ball quickly; however, I was equally as disappointed to find out that my ball was incapable of holding the air inside. Air leaks from both the valve and the ends of the ball as a price tag was tagged into the material. DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE EXPECTING A HIGH QUALITY BALL. ### ⭐ Patented valve? Fail *by J***L on May 29, 2022* This ball will not hold air, incredibly disappointed in this purchase as I bought this for my kid who just made high school provincials in 7s. Instead she gets a deflated ball. ## Frequently Bought Together - Gilbert BARBARIAN 2.0 MATCH BALL - NEW FOR 2020 - Gilbert Atom Match Rugby Ball BLUE --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/311948999-gilbert-barbarian-2-0-rugby-match-ball](https://www.desertcart.com.ar/products/311948999-gilbert-barbarian-2-0-rugby-match-ball) --- *Product available on Desertcart Argentina* *Store origin: AR* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
