This corkscrew is perfect for restaurants, wineries, and catered events. To use, start by expanding the FOILKUT system foil cutter. Place it over the neck of the bottle and make two good turns to cut the foil. Remove the foil cutter from the bottle, collapse the cutter, and remove the foil from the bottle. You're now ready to open the bottle. Insert the nickel-plated spiral worm into the cork. This open spiral worm features a filet running down it to cut into the cork quicker than with traditional worms. Turn the handle to drive the worm further into the cork, until about a half a turn is showing. Place the stainless steel boot lever on the rim of the bottle and gently begin to extract about 7/8" of the cork. Press the boot lever in and the second boot lever will pull the rest of the cork straight out. Broke after 6 weeks. I own 2 other of the basic black "boomerangs" from same company (Franmara) which are sturdier, and have lasted 2 years without incident. This green one was flimsier from beginning, often bending right out of my hand, or slipping off of bottles. It finally snapped (see pic above), gauging my thumb and knocking bottle over. Blood splatter was amazing! Would return, but that option seemingly unavailable. Please don't buy this one, or any other translucent models if you are a Somm.
