Forget it. I tried running it straight out - no luck. Tried different versions of the most popular drivers for non-Apple products (DisplayLink), old and new - no luck. Tried it on THREE DIFFERENT macs, which I take care of and which are up to date. No luck. On El Capitan and 10.11.6 and Mavericks 10.9.5 - no luck. The driver that comes with it is on a mini-disc that supposedly works on Windows - fine, but that is no help for me. One of the reviews here says "I can run windows on my Mac" - that's nice, but I'm running OS X full time.I think it just DOES NOT work on macs. Which is ok, except for the suggestions that it does. If you have a Mac, I suggest you stay away. Agreed, many of the Mac offerings for USB-Video are quite expensive, but this one did Not work for me (and yes my monitor is fine as is my VGA cable. The problem is the adapter). I have run displays w/other adapters successfully in the past on Macs, no big deal. Unfortunately, this one doesn't.
