I've read that the birch tar can be harmful to dogs if a certain amount is swallowed so I make sure to rinse her off thoroughly. The smell isn't a sweet fragrance like most soaps, but I wasn't expecting that. The scent reminds me of what your clothes smell like after sitting around a campfire, and the smell doesn't last long after my dog is dry. After 1 wash and a couple of days later, it seems to be helping a bit with her dry skin and she hasn't been scratching her fur off the entire night so I'd say it's definitely helping.I know I rely a lot on reviews and I appreciate the time taken to submit them, so please press the helpful button.
