Old school waxing takes too long and can only really be done on painted surfaces. Si02 (Silica spray) can protect all surfaces. The only thing you have to remember is you shouldn't apply the product on a dirty car. You need to decontaminate the surface with a clay bar/clay mitt or polish. You can mist this product on and use water pressure to apply the coating. From there is will bead up and reject water (Hydrophobic). If you don't decontaminate the car, you are applying the product over dirt and grime and protecting that as well. Do not apply product to a hot car. Do not apply product in direct sunlight.
