The damage was not visible until I removed the filter from its packaging. This is not a defect of the filter itself; rather, desertcart needs to ship these filters more securely, perhaps with bubble wrap or additional protective packaging. Fortunately, desertcart made it easy to request a replacement. The replacement arrived without any defects, but it was still simply placed in a box without much protection, which could easily result in damage during shipping. As for the filter's performance, it has been exceptional. I experienced very little pressure lossβ€”about 2 to 4 PSI at most.
